Paige Spiranac reveals why Paige Renee was chosen for her name

A former professional claimed that she was being stalked at college by a stalker.

Paige has over 3 million Instagram followers and a large social media presence.

She explained to her followers why she used that name, even though she is still Paige Spiranac at tournaments.

Paige spoke on a May episode of "Playing a Round" podcast. She explained that she was conflicted by the fact that Paige Renee was her username. Paige Renee was harassing and stalking me in college and so, I had to delete my Instagram.

"They were stalking me on campus, it was awful."

The 29-year old replied that it was a question about a boy and said: "The strength coach at the university - I would just go in there all of the time.

"I had no interest in him, but they believed I did. It may have been that way, but who knows?

"Then, I deleted the account and used my middle name to hide that I was not there.

"I was very private and posted only golf videos, because no one could laugh at them.

"When we began to grow, I wasn't sure if Paige Renee should be used because I play golf under Paige Spiranac. It has just continued like this."

Spiranac is a popular online golfer who often wears outrageous outfits.

After a tweet about eating a mid-round hotdog, she had her fans in stitches.

She posts only sports videos and photos now and has a large following

Between Dec 2015 and December 2016, she played pro golf.

She wrote, "There is nothing more than a hotdog at a turn on the golf course."

Paige denied that the tweet was intended to suggestive. Fans quickly jumped on the tweet's suggestive nature.

One user replied: "The comments will probably be out of control here ..."

Paige quickly responded to the initial tweet. It received over 9,000 likes within three hours, and also saw a lot of NSFW responses.

She wrote, "Me reading your comments after saying that I enjoy a nice Hotdog at the Turn", which was accompanied by a funny meme of Lin Manuel Miranda from the musical Hamilton.
