TEAM Europe will be taking on Team USA at the Ryder Cup this weekend.
The trophy was won by Europe in 2018, but the USA will be defending it this time.

Even though the event is post-Brexit, you can still expect to see the European flags worn by the British players at the event.

The United Kingdom is no more part of the EU but it is still an integral part of the European continent.
The traditional attire worn by European players during Ryder Cup weekend has been a shade blue. You can often spot yellow stars embroidered on their clothing.
Darren Clarke of Team Europe, a Northern Irishman, stated that the UK will always be a part of Europe, regardless of Brexit.
"It doesn't matter to us because the UK will always be part of Europe.

"So, we're going to there as Europe. We will use the European flag as it is our continental flag and that's what we're going.
A spokesperson for the European Tour said: "The criteria to be European in Ryder Cup terms (ie from the countries that make up Europe's continent) is not a political and economic one (ie the countries that make up the EU).
"The result of the UK referendum does not affect Ryder Cup qualification terms.
"We consider the European Ryder Cup flag to be the European continent's flag. We plan to keep using it as a symbol for Europe."
