What is the minimum number of points you need to win Ryder Cup?

The Ryder Cup is often won by the best of margins. Previous Ryder Cup victories were separated by just one point.

There will be 28 matches at Whistling Straits over the three-day period.

Each match is worth 1 point. However, if both sides are tied after 18 holes then a half-point will be awarded to each team.

You must win the Ryder Cup with 14-and-a half of the available points.

If the score is tied at 14-14 after the weekend, then the previous winners (in this case Europe) would keep the trophy.

The most famous Ryder Cup was probably 2012 when Europe won by 13-and a half points to 14-and a half.

The USA took it back in 2016, scoring 16-11. But Europe quickly reclaimed it two years later.

When does the Ryder Cup 2021 begin?

  • The Ryder Cup, which has been delayed, will be played on the final weekend of September between September 24 and 26.
  • It was originally meant to be played from September 25 through 27, 2020, but the coronavirus epidemic halted these plans.
  • The Ryder Cup this year will be the first since September 2018, when Europe defeated USA.
