"Well, I'm sore" - Tiger Woods withdraws from the PGA Championship after a record five consecutive bogeys in the third round.

TIGER WOODS pulled out of the US PGA Championship due to an injury. He had complained that he was "sore" after a third round.

After suffering serious leg injuries in a horror vehicle crash in February 2021, the 46-year old was only competing in his second tournament.

Woods finished joint-bottom with a nine-over-79.

After suffering open fractures in both his upper and lower tibias and fibulas in his right leg, the golf legend was left with a rod, several screws, and pins.

Woods posted a nine-over-79 Saturday, which left him at the bottom of the 79 players who made it to the final cut.

This left the 15-time major champion at 12 over par for tournament, leaving him 21 strokes behind Mito Pereira, third round leader.

Woods shot his third worst round in majors, making five bogeys consecutively in majors for the first time in the professional career. This included a triple-bogey at the par-three sixth hole.
