The caddie for Tiger Woods reveals when the great golfer is most likely to return to The Open after ruling out retirement

The caddie for TIGERWOODS has shared his plans for the coming year and when he will likely return to action.

After his appearance at The Open in Scotland last Wednesday, the golf legend decided not to retire from the game.

Last week, Tiger Woods and Joe LaCava were at The Open.

Tiger Woods was possibly in St Andrews last week for the last time

Woods missed the cut, and he was a little teary as he walked down St Andrews 18th hole.

The 46-year old insists he's not thinking about retiring, even though he doesn't have any immediate plans to play.

Reporters were told by him: "Maybe it's next year." I don't know. However, I don't know what the future holds.

"This is it. "I was hoping to just play this one event this season."

Woods' probable schedule was revealed by Joe LaCava, his long-term friend.

On Thursday morning, he appeared on The Dan Patrick Show.

Woods should play at least three tournaments before April's Masters.

This would start with the Hero World Challenge in December and continue with the PNC Championship with Charlie.

LaCava hopes Woods will also compete at the Genesis Invitational before tackling Augusta.

He added: "I'll say, 'Hey, Tiger, listen. If you feel better, I might come down to Florida for a few weeks.

"We don't need to practice every day and we don't even have to play every day. You can count on me to be there, and perhaps give you some motivation.

"We'll go down to play and practice a bit here and there in preparation for the Hero and the next year of 2023."

"We will get him ready in every way he requires."

After suffering injuries in a car accident, Woods had to withdraw from the PGA Championship and US Open.

He tried to make it at Augusta and St Andrews, and hopes to keep going.
