Rory McIlroy's family life after the Open Championship disappointment

RORY MCILROY was a close second to winning the 150th Open Championship, but fell short.

Erica Stoll, Rory McIlroy’s wife, is it you?

Erica Stoll was born 1988. She was raised in Irondequoit in New York with her sister Natalie Stoll.

Eric, however, was a 31-year-old man who lived in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Erica was working at the PGA in 2011 when Rory first met her. She was the manager of Championship Volunteer Operations for PGA of America.

Their first sightings were in 2012, when Rory almost destroyed the Ryder Cup Miracle at Medinah with his oversleeping.

Erica was the PGA employee that saved him before the police rushed to take him to the fairway on September 1.

On August 31, 2020, Poppy Kennedy McIlroy became the parents of their first child.

When did they marry?

They were married on April 21, 2017.

They had soul legend Stevie Wonder, Coldplay's Chris Martin, and One Direction's Niall Horan as guests.

Padraig Harrington, three-time Major champion and former Ryder Cup skipper Paul McGinley attended McIlroy’s wedding at Ashworth Castle in Dublin. This is one of Ireland's most prestigious hotels.

Where are they located?

McIlroy sold his beautiful Florida home to Ernie Els for PS8.5million.

The massive house is located in The Bear's Club. This golf community was founded by Jack Nicklaus, in 1999. It measures over 12,800 square feet.

It has seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
