Patrick Cantlay rallies to beat Jon Rahm to the mega PS10.8m Jackpot in wire-to–wire Tour Championship victory

PATRICK CANTLAY beat world No. 1 Jon Rahm to win the PS10.8MILLION Jackpot at the Tour Championship. This is more evidence that he will be a force in the Ryder Cup.

Cantlay fought through everything Rahm put in his way to win at East Lake. This was the same as what he did last week when he beat Bryson DeChambeau in an intense six-hole play-off at BMW Championship.

Cantley and Nikki Guidish shared a huge PS10.8m win.

This play-off win secured Cantlay's spot on the USA team for Whistling Straits, at the end this month.

He will be difficult to crack in Wisconsin if he keeps puttingt as he did in the past two weeks.

Europe's challenge for the trophy will be led by Rahm. He can also point out that Rahm would have been a clear victor if not for Cantlay's handicap system, which gave Cantlay a four shot advantage before play started in Atlanta.

It won't matter to the American. He returned to California, where he will rest for a few weeks before making his USA debut.

Rahms received a consolation prize of PS3.8million. Even though the No. 1 spot in the world has been changed several times over the last year, it is clear that Rahms is still the best player on this planet right now.

Tommy Fleetwood, Ryder Cup teammate, made a timely recovery to form at the Italian Ope even though he was unable to win his first European Tour title in two years.

Southport's star player finished second in Rome as Dane NicolaiHojgaard, twenty-years old, completed an amazing family double at the Italian Open - only a week after his twin brother Rasmus won his third European Tour victory in Switzerland.

Fleetwood hadn't finished in the top ten in any of his 12 previous starts.

He stated, "I played much better this week and take a lot from the wedge shot & the putt that I made to birdoe on the final hole. I have a chance at a play-off."

"Fair play, Nicolai - it's obvious that something very special is happening with those brothers. That's going to make the future exciting."
