Paige Spiranac thanks Bryson DeChambeau, an old foe, for letting go of her fake persona at Ryder Cup.

PAIGE SPIRANAC believes that Bryon de Chambeau showed his true colours at the Ryder Cup.

The 28-year old scored 2.5 points in Team USA's 19-9 victory over Team Europe.

DeChambeau was able to put aside his rival Brooks Koepka's feud and engage with the Whistling Straits crowd.

Although Spiranac was impressed by the U.S. Open 2020 champion, her wish to see him team up alongside Koepka did not come true.

On her Playing A Round with Paige Renee podcast, she said: "This week was a little redemption for Bryson de Chambeau.

"I felt that he thrived in an environment where there was cheering for him. This is something he doesn’t feel very often."

"With his playing style and interaction, even in his interviews afterwards, he seemed much more relaxed than he usually is when the crowd is against him."

"People began to like Bryson de Chambeau this week. He was especially impressive when he drove hole 1 and threw his putter in the air. Everyone was screaming for him. We saw the real Bryson, not just what he was pretending to be.

"I wanted it (the pairing). I thought Steve (Steve) Stricker would put them together in their very last match. I was disappointed that it didn't happen. It got me a lot of flack for wanting to see that.

Stricker, Team USA captain, made the right decisions and his team won by an unprecedented margin.

This included the decision to not pair DeChambeua and Koepka, despite them showing no animosity by hugging after they won.

Spiranac believed the pair would be "unstoppable" together, despite her previous desire to see DeChambeau or Koepka fight each other.
