TIGER WOODS' army shared his pain during his third round of the USPGA Championship.
Paige Spiranac, ex-golf star and Instagram influencer, expressed sadness at Woods's struggles.
After a terrible third round, Tiger Woods pulled out of the USPGA Championship
Paige Spiranac sympathized with Woods as Woods struggled through the third
day.
She also praised Woods's fight to overcome five consecutive bogies
Spiranac was just one of many people to show her support for the golf legend.
Spiranac tweeted, "It's hard to watch Tiger in so much pain. It's amazing to see the fight he had to win this round.
Gary Lineker sympathized with the golf legend, even though he was injured and had to slow down his performance. However, Match of the Day host Gary Lineker praised Woods' mental strength.
Former England ace wrote, "Difficult watching Tiger Woods struggle around the golf course.
It's also inspiring to see his amazing mentality. He never, ever gives up. It's amazing that he is out there and made it.
Andrew Coltart and Rich Beem, Sky pundits, begged Woods to not tarnish his 15-time Major champion legacy after Woods, 46 reached a nine-over par 79 at Southern Hills.
He was two shots lower than his previous USPGA record score. This just over a month after he failed to make his worst ever Masters performance, a round 78.
Woods was satisfied to call it quits, acknowledging he was tired and unable to gain momentum throughout the round.
He did hint that he would be back soon and said he planned to do some work to improve his performance.

There have been some highlights since Woods returned from Augusta 14 months ago, when he nearly lost his right leg in an unavoidable car accident.
He shot a one-under par 71 in the Masters' opening round and then added a respectable score of 74 to make it through the second round. A battling 69 in this round made sure that he was available for the weekend.
It is evident that Woods doesn't have the endurance to withstand four rounds of tough conditions.
He has also encountered the most difficult slogs in Augusta, Southern Hills and the Circuit.
Beem, who beat Woods 20 years ago to win the USPGA title, stated that his old adversary should not even consider teeing off at next month's US Open at Brookline, Massachusetts.
Beem said: "I'm going be selfish here and say Tiger please don’t go to US Open.
"Rehab your leg and be ready to play at the Open in St Andrews, July, on a course you have won twice.
"That's one of the most straightforward walks in the game. I don't see how four more competitive rounds at Brookline can help at this stage.
Spiranac said Woods can still win another major after his car accident
After Woods announced that he would be playing at The Masters, the ex-golfer danced for joy.
Coltart was more concerned about Woods' future golfing.
He stated that he didn't like the idea for someone so great to struggle like this and perform like any other player moving forward.
Paul McGinley, a former Ryder Cup captain, expressed slightly greater optimism about Woods' future potential to be more competitive.
McGinley stated, "I think we should reserve judgment for at least one year and see where it is then in terms of his career's end - and hopefully, that won't happen immediately."
Woods looked miserable as he stumbled from tee-to-green.
After a decent start, which saw him play the first five golf holes in one over par (the fifth), it all began to unravel at the 218 yard sixth.
This is a difficult par three. Woods hooked his shot into the water and almost did it again from the drop zone. He ran up a triple-bogey six.
After missing a par putt at the seventh hole, the former world No. 1 began a streak of FIVE bogeys. He finally found a fairway bunker on number nine and started a string of FIVE more. The trap caught him in the face after his recovery shot failed to clear his lip.
He was able to play his third shot from fairway because he had a free drop. It could have been more difficult.
Woods was 10 over par through 13 holes. Southern Hills is par 70 so it seemed likely that he would not break 80 for the fourth time in his professional career.
However, his pride and bloody-mindedness wouldn't allow it.
