She said to her 560,000 followers on Twitter: "These complicated statements are irritating.
"No one attending the LIV tour really cares about the progress of the game.
"I wish they would just say 'because it is a s***ton of money.
Paige reserved another volley to Mickelson, the six-time Major champion. Mickelson had taken a long break from golf after making comments about Saudi Arabia last year.
Mickelson, an ex-pro photographer posted a photo of himself in a leather jacket and smiling enthusiastically at the camera.
