Meet the 14 year-old golf star who stars at Saudi International. Lee Westwood has hailed him as a great player.

RATCHANON CHANTANANUWAT is only 14 years old, but he has already been praised by the best golfers around the world.

Thai amateur sensation and driving instructor, Thaman, was inspired to start a club 11 years ago by his father. He hit a 69-71 at this weekend's Saudi International as he continues to demonstrate a remarkable rise in the sport.

At just 14 years old, he already shows signs of being an elite athlete.

Chantananuwat was nicknamed "TK" in honor of his initials. He finished at level par - three shots within the halfway cut, as he mixed it up with some of the top pros in the game.

He currently ranks 54th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, and 463rd on the Official World Golf Ranking.

Former World No1 Lee Westwood, who was with Chantananuwat during the Middle East Games, is one of those who are extremely impressed by the teenager prodigy.

He told Golf Digest that Chantananuwat is a charming young man when he was asked about him. His parents are a credit to him.

He is a very skilled player. Even if I didn't know his age, I would still think he has no real weaknesses. He will learn to live with the weaknesses he does have as he gets older.

He also asked many great questions. He saw me running one with a 3-wood on 17; he wanted to know more.

The next few years will see the development of golfers around the world.

"He has a great chance to succeed, provided he doesn’t fall into any of these pitfalls.

He just needs to continue learning. He'll be a great player if and when he develops.

Chantananuwat also finished third in the Singapore International, where he was leading with only nine holes left.

Then, two weeks later at the Singapore Open, he recorded a round of 68 on day 1.

He beat 2020 PGA Championship runner up Paul Casey by eight shots.

Englishman Casey is full of praises for the 30-year-old teenager.

He stated that TK was "very, very impressive." He is a remarkable 14-year old in his physical abilities. He's only going to get stronger and bigger.

He's not yet crushing the ball. He can hit all of the shots that you could imagine. He drives well, chip it well and putts well. He's also a great instructor, which is remarkable for a 14 year old.

He plots his route. He has great emotional control, which is the greatest thing about him.

The Sage Valley Invitational, in South Carolina, will be TK's next tournament in March.

He still plans to finish his education and then attend college in the USA where he will study for two more years.
