Why didn't Helen serve as Westwood's caddie at the Ryder Cup
Westy shared early this year that Sam, his son, would be caddie at the 2021 Masters. Helen, his fiancee, will step aside at Augusta.
He revealed that he was going to take his son Sam to The Players Championship after he fell to second in March's tournament.
Helen won't be carrying Lee’s bag to The Masters
He said, "I have a couple of fun days ahead. My son Sam and I will be playing Augusta.
"He was there for me many years ago, but he's now caddying for my this year at the Masters."
Westwood fulfilled a promise he had made for two years by taking Sam with him.
Westwood announced in January 2019 that Sam would be carrying his bag to help him get back into the top 50 and qualify to the tournament.
Sam clearly had an impact on Westwood's game. The British star confirmed that he would be his caddie again at the 2021 Ryder Cup.
SunSport was told by him: "Forget The Masters. This is on a completely different scale.
"Sam is nervous like a kitten, and this is a rare instance of a player trying his best to calm down his caddie. He'll be fine after I hit my first shot.
"It's been an enjoyable distraction for me, and an additional incentive -- not like you need one at the Ryder Cup. What dad wouldn't want his son to be impressed?
