RORY MCILROY was 'punch drunk after snapping his club at Arnold Palmer Invitational.
According to the Northern Irishman, Bay Hill has become so difficult for players that many top stars have decided to skip the event.

He was frustrated to the point of breaking down on the 12th hole when he SNAPhis club.
Despite the fact that the prize money was almost a million dollars, the event attracted only four of the top ten in the world.
McIlroy reacted to the play by saying, "I feel punch drunk. To be honest.
"The weekend is like crazy golf.
"You don't get rewarded just for taking good shots.
"It's a carbon-copy of what's been happening the past three years here.

"It's frustrating. It can be difficult to maintain your patience."
He added, "There are a lot of men who stayed away from this week to prepare for next week.
"The Players is such an important event - a $20 Million purse.
"The four majors in this game are sacred, but The Players is very near to them and players don’t want to feel like they’ve been beat up going there."
"I am sure having a hard time getting over it."
