Elexis Brown, a rising golf star, dies in her sleep hours after her parents discovered she was sleepwalking

13-year-old GOLF prodigy died while sleeping, hours after her parents discovered her sleepwalking.

Elexis Brown was called one of the sport’s "brightest stars". Her dad Ben Peter described her as an "amazing and beautiful person" who didn't realize how much she was loved.

The death of Elexis Brown, the county champion golfer in Lincolnshire, has shocked the golfing community.

Elexis' mum Hayley (38), and Ben (42) put Elexis back to sleep on Saturday night after she fell ill and began sleepingwalking. However, they discovered that she was not responding in the morning.

Paramedics took Elexis from the hospital after they called 999.
Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, she was unfortunately declared dead.

Lincolnshire Live Report Mr Peter said: "She went back to bed on Saturday night as usual.

"She woke up from sleepwalking and was a bit sick.

"We put her back in bed to check that she was okay. This is what a parent would do. We found her a few hours later and she was gone."

The death of Elexis shocked the Lincolnshire golfing community where she was a member at Woodhall Spa Golf Centre.

Peter said that he didn't know how many hearts his daughter touched until he received so many messages of support via social media.

He stated, "I didn't realize how popular she was until all of it happened."
