As the Ryder Cup campaign continues, watch Europe's star Tyrrell Hatton slide down steep verges and ruin PS5,000 trousers.

After falling down a hill at Whistling Straits, Tyrrell Hatton, RYDER CUP star, destroyed a pair PS5,000 TROUSERS.

On Saturday, the 29-year-old English golfer took a tumble as Europe attempted to counter a dominant US team.

Hatton was able to see the humor in his tumble.

Hatton fell down the fourth hole during his afternoon fourballs match with Tony Finau and Harris English.

Paul McGinley, the European team's captain in 2014, claimed Hatton’s trousers were PS5,000 according to commentary.

McGinley might have been laughing, but Hatton will most likely need to take his pants to the dry cleaners next Wednesday.

After a tough Ryder Cup campaign, the Englishman's fall is not his biggest worry.

Europe is currently at 11-5 going into Sunday's singles matches.

To retain the Ryder Cup, the defending champions must win nine of the twelve games - an almost impossible task on US soil.

Europe reclaimed a deficit of 10-6 at Medinah in 2012, which was considered a miracle by many golf fans.

Padraig Harrington's team faces a greater challenge this year, and Hatton will be needed to deliver on Sunday.

He has just one-and-a half points from his three games thus far and is teaming up with Shane Lowry in order to beat English and Finau on Saturday.

Hatton's singles opponent in Hatton's match is Justin Thomas, a former US PGA champion who was seen sipping a can of beer Saturday afternoon.

After Tiger Woods sent them a text message encouraging them, the US team was inspired to take control of their own destiny.
