SERGIO Garcia's American wife Angela has spoken out on American television to warn viewers that she will be a liar if they get too Europe-baiting.
She revealed that she was confronted by foul-mouthed people at Hazeltine, the US's last Ryder Cup, five years ago. Garcia was her boyfriend then, and they got married the next year.

Angela was so concerned about similar abuse at Whistling Straits, she requested a CNN appearance to warn others.
She stated, "I can understand cheering on your team, but let's not get into the insults."
"It got too far at Hazeltine, when I was following Sergio. I ended up having to have a go at some guys who were harassing him.
"I told them that I was here to support the European team. They are American and they're embarrassing me."
"The people around me joined in and said: "Yeah, we're embarrassing you too!" So I told the guys that I wanted to see American fans be better than that.
To be fair, they said OK and then saw me again later, and they knew who I was.

Angela is one among four Americans in the European WAGS. They are all allowed to follow their partners from within the ropes.
Because of European supporters' travel restrictions, American fans will make up 98% of the 40,000 strong Whistling Straits crowds.
There are concerns that alcohol-smoking fans could target European players. However, Ryder Cup officials state that security personnel will be present with all groups, with the order to expel any overbearing spectators.
