THIS is the incredible moment a golf game was interrupted by a fight between two giant hippos.

The brilliant drama played out just yards away from stunned putters on a greenway at the Skukuza Golf Club in South Africa.

Golfers were left gobsmacked as the two brutish creatures tussled for supremacy in a lake right next to one hole.

Hippos are some of the deadliest animals on the planet, reportedly killing over 500 people each year.

Their mouths, which measure two feet wide, have a bite power of over 8,000 Newtons — enough to snap a crocodile in half.

They can also run at astonishing speeds of 28 miles per hour.

And the two hostile hippos flexed their best moves as they engaged in a desperate jaw duel, forcing the golfers to leave their match and instead soak up the amazing scenes.

Fans on social media were also left impressed by the mighty raw power of the hippos.

One said: “These guys need to back up…”

Another declared: “I missed the three-footer but in my defence there were two hippos in the pond fighting.”
