ASH BARTY may be considering a second career in sport, this time in GOLF - with the support of Tiger Woods.

She proved her class this weekend by winning the Brookwater Golf and Country Club tournament in Queensland.

Karrie Webb from the World Golf Hall of Fame, who will be leading Australia's golf teams in the Paris 2024 Olympics, said that she doesn't see Ash wanting a sport where she must travel the world.
"I think she was unhappy about tennis being away from Australia. She could be an Australian amateur champion, I think.
Barty met Garry Kissick on the course, and they are now building a house near the Brookwater club.
In 2014, Wimbledon's reigning champion took a break and participated in the Women’s Big Bash cricket tournament in Australia. She then returned to tennis and has been a dominant player in the sport for the past few years.

She was however featured in an exhibition event of golf in Melbourne in 2020.
