On Monday, thousands of people gathered at the most well-known course in America to see Woods.

Woods remains one of the most popular entertainers, a quarter century after the founding of his five Green Jackets.

Woods visits Augusta to practice for the Masters' return

Woods was not moving freely, and he was wearing shoes that provide extra support for his right ankle. However, he still had a smile on the face.

On Tuesday, the 46-year old will speak at a news conference pre-tournament. He is expected to share the good news.

Woods may announce that he will tee off on Thursday's first day.

Morikawa recalled Woods winning in 1997.

He stated that "Watching Tiger win here in 97 was my first real memory of anything."

"And 2019, I can recall EVERYTHING.

"I was at college. We rented a house for the golf team and set up all the necessary furniture to view the final round on the huge TV.

Couples, 64 years old, said Woods looked "OK" while out on the beautiful green.

The Hall of Famer stated: "He bombed the thing off the tee. He bombed it."

"I thought he looked fine, but you know Tiger, it's not going his way to tell if he is in pain."
