BILLY HORSCHEL has set Royal Troon alight at The Open in his battle for the prestigious Claret Jug.

And supporting him from the stands is wife Brittany, who is no stranger to the course.

Who is Billy Horschel’s wife Brittany?

Billy Horschel is married to former golf player Brittany, with the couple tying the knot in 2010.

The pair first met at a junior golf tournament in 2004 with both attending the University of Florida.

Billy said about their first meeting: “It was love at first sight…for me! She took a little longer to come around.”

However, Brittany was forced to call time on her own golf career due to wrist injuries.

Brittany had even caddied for Billy at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland in 2022 when Billy’s regular caddie couldn’t appear due to “green card issues”.

In 2017, Brittany revealed she was receiving treatment for alcoholism after Billy’s emotional AT&T triumph.

Brittany wrote on X: “I write this nervously, skeptically, but also proudly because I have embraced the woman I have become over the past year.

“One year ago, I began a journey to a healthy me, mentally and physically. I will keep his simple, ‘I am an alcoholic.’ I say that now without shame.”

Billy said in a video on X earlier this year on eighth-year anniversary of Brittany’s sobriety: “It’s truly amazing to see what her life has become, how she has changed as a person, become an unbelievable mother, become an unbelievable support system to me.

“I know there’s a lot of people out there struggling with addiction, and you can’t see the light at the tunnel. 

“You don’t think you can get sober, you don’t think that anyone who can care for you or love you enough to help you through the journey, but there is. There are people out there. So if you’re struggling with some form of addiction, please reach out to people because people want to help.

“People want to help you, people want to see you achieve a better life, a more happy, healthy life, a more successful life.”

And since 2018, Brittany has run her own blog, named The Sober Modern Mom.

How many children do the couple have?

The Horschel’s have three children – two daughters and a son.

The oldest daughter Skylar Lillian, was born in 2014, Colbie Rae in 2017, and son Axel Brooks in 2019.
