Wendy Honner has been married to Open golfer Shane Lowry.

She is a nurse, but she also travels around the world to follow her man in tournaments.

Wendy and Shane met on a random night out in 2012, and they have been together ever since.

When did Shane Lowry marry Wendy Honner?

In April 2016, the couple were married in New York. After spending a memorable June holiday in New York, the couple holds the city a special place within their hearts.

They were married one week after The Masters, which was the first Major of the calendar year, was played in Augusta.

It was also low-key.

Lowry stated to the Irish Independent that the guest list was "spiralling" and that she gets stressed easily. So, we decided not to have a big white wedding at our home.

Shane proposed to Shane on a Dubai beach in December 2014.

In March 2017, Wendy and Iris gave birth to their daughter Iris.

Iris and Wendy were both present in Abu Dhabi when Lowry won the HSBC golf championship in January.
