Woods suffered severe injuries to both his legs when the car he was driving crashed down a hillside near Los Angeles on February 23, 2013.

Woods underwent successful surgery to his legs to fix his gritty injuries.

Woods was discharged from the hospital on March 16, and has been recuperating at home ever since. However, his current condition is not known.

Woods is expected to spend a lot of time this year rehabilitating his injuries.

Rory McIlroy, a friend and Rival, visited Woods recently at his house and reported that Woods was in "decent spirits".

McIlroy stated that he spent several hours with McIlroy, which was pleasant.

"It was a pleasure to meet him. It was nice to see him in good spirits. You think he will be in hospital for six months if you hear about these kinds of things.

Woods announced on November 29th, 2021 that he would not be returning to full-time professional golf.

Woods said that it was an unfortunate reality in his first interview since the accident. It's my reality. It's my reality, and I accept it."

He explained his rehabilitation process and said that it was unlikely that his schedule will ever be the same.

Woods stated, "I believe it is realistic to play the Tour one day - not full-time again - but pick & choose, just as Mr. [Ben] Hogan did." You pick and choose which events you want to attend each year, and then you can play around with them."

You practice around it and prepare yourself for it. That's the way I see it.
