What is Paige Spiranac’s handicap?

Paige, who was voted Maxim’s Sexiest Woman Alive in 2022, has said that her handicap is +2.

She revealed on Twitter that she tells people she is a scratch golfer, someone who plays with a zero handicap, to avoid confusion.

Talking to her followers on the social media site she said: “I had a guy tell me I didn’t know anything about golf. He asked me what my handicap was and I said +2. He confidently said he was a +17.

“I just say I’m scratch. It’s easier than explaining what a plus handicap is.”

Is Paige Spiranac a professional golfer?

Paige had a one-year run as a professional golfer.

She debuted professionally in 2016 on the Cactus Tour in Queen Creek, Arizona.

That same year she beat Hannah O’Sullivan, who was then the top-ranked amateur in the world, at Scottsdale’s Orange Tree Country Club.

This would be Spiranac’s only tour win.

Throughout her brief golf career, Spiranac also took part in tournaments at Stallion Mountain, the Aliante Golf Club, and Walnut Creek in Mansfield, Texas.

Spiranac made the cut at the Scottish Open in the Ladies’ European Tour.

In August 2016, Spiranac competed in her first LPGA Qualifying Tournament, but did not make it through to play on the professional circuit.

Why did Paige Spiranac quit golf?

Spiranac took a step back from competitive golf to pursue other opportunities, after feeling frustrated by her lack of success in the sport.

In 2023, the influencer told Fox News: “I just got to the point where I just stopped caring. I wanted to have more of a social life. I wanted to have fun.

“I was tired of dedicating my life to something and just not seeing the result. So, when I was playing at SDSU, I just lost my desire for it.”

Since quitting golf, Spiranac has become hugely popular on social media as a sports commentator and influencer.

Spiranac has over 3.7 million Instagram followers and more than 800,000 followers on Twitter.

But if she had the choice, Spiranac has said she would pick playing competitively over social media.

She said: “If I had the choice to be doing what I’m doing to play on the LPGA Tour, I would probably pick the LPGA Tour because that was just a goal that I’ve always wanted to achieve and it was a dream of mine — and I wish I could’ve checked that off before I went over into doing media work full time.”

She added: “But that’s not how life works.”

Spiranac has landed shoots in magazines such as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition and Golf Digest throughout her career.

She has also acted as a brand ambassador for golf app 18Birdies.
