Hatton couldn't hide his frustration and let out an angry cry, even dropping the F bomb.
Hatton was furious and could be heard shouting at Sky Sports: "Are your f***ing kidding?!"
As commentators apologized for their bad language, the world No16 threw up his arms in frustration.
John Hawksworth, an ex-European Tour pro, posted a hilarious Twitter video in which he offered his humorous commentary on the missed putt.
Hawksworth, speaking in between fits of hysteria, said: "If your only occupation is golf, you will understand exactly what he's talking about!"
Hatton's outburst divided golf fans - some praising Hatton for his down-to earth style while others criticised him for his foul language.
One fan tweeted, "Can we just get Tyrrell a full-time mic?" It would be well-worth the money to subscribe to sports.
Another said: "Just brilliant @TyrrellHatton, don't change."

One fumed, "Hatton is an embarrassment for his profession and the worst role-model young children could emulate!"
"Serial effer and jeffer is a serious problem that requires sanctioning from all tours!"
Another claimed that he didn't find it funny or amusing.
"It's high time that both tours are fine this stupid t ***. It's not acceptable to be on the course at all."
Hatton was unable to complete his third round in a Florida tournament due to weather. The 18-holes were played over two days so Hatton couldn't finish the round.
Hatton shot a strong round of 70 despite his miss on the par-3 third. He is now five shots behind the pace.
After a final round of two-under-oar, the Englishman finished tied for 13th - seven shots behind winner Cameron Smith.
The Australian shot a fantastic -6 in the final round to finish the tournament -13. This was one shot ahead of Anirban Lahiri of India and two ahead England's Paul Casey.
