Robert MacIntyre was a good example of someone who came closer to the 15 time Major champion at The Masters than he had hoped.
Golf legend Tiger Woods still strikes fear into younger opponents
Robert MacIntrye, who confirmed Tiger's power, said he was in awe when they met at Augusta last month.
This week, Tiger will once again be the center of attention at the US PGA
MacIntyre will be playing at the USPGA this week. He was in the group behind Woods in Augusta's third round last month.
After converting his drive at the 11th hole, which was difficult, into an impossible lie, the Scottish star had no choice but to return to the tee to hit another shot under the watchful eye of his boyhood hero.
MacIntyre (25), recalled that "I wasn’t wanting to return!"
"I had hit a poor tee shot, and there was a small tree. My caddie Mike told me that I couldn't move it forward and that I wouldn't be able to.
"I said, 'I'm going to the tee. He's there, I know that. But I accepted the penalty.
"When I returned to the tee, I didn't even glance at Tiger or his playing partner Kevin Kisner.
"I tried to convince myself that he was just another man, and luckily I hit a good one down fairway.
"Tiger is the only man I'm able to admire playing with.
"Seeing him at Augusta was amazing. It was like a herd of cattle coming to me as I stood on the green on Monday or Tuesday.

"You could hear the rumble. It was completely different. It was a spectacular event that attracted a lot of attention."
Southern Hills, Tulsa's venue for the USPGA's second Major of the Year, is capturing this level of excitement.
Woods won the tournament in 2008 when it was held in this city.
American was mobbed during practice rounds, and will be back on the center stage Tuesday at his press conference.
