Golf runs in the family of Tiger Woods.
This famous surname isn't just for the 15-time major champion golfer.
Earl Woods helped Tiger reach his full potential in the world of golf
Charlie, Tiger's son, is now receiving his wisdom from Tiger.
His half-brother Earl Jr.'s niece Cheyenne Woods became a professional in 2012.
Both learned the game from Tiger’s father Earl Woods (a former lieutenant colonel of the US Army who served two tours in Vietnam).
Tiger's son Charlie seems to have inherited his father’s genes. He won all the junior tournaments before him, and was called a child prodigy.
Tiger will be back at the PNC Championship as the father-son team, after Tiger's horror car accident in February.
SunSport will take you behind-the scenes at America's most recognizable golfing family.
IT BEGAN WITH THE EARL
Earl was a Kansas State University student who was well-known for his athletic prowess on campus.
He was a baseball player and earned a varsity award (an award for excellence in school activities) both in 1952-53.
He discovered the beauty and joy of golf when he was 42 years old, while stationed at Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, New York.

TIGER CARRIES THE MANTLE
Tiger was a child of two and had a golf ball in his hands from the time he was 2.
Earl lived with his family in Orange County, California. He would take his son to US military courses to improve his swing.
He moulded a prodigy child golfer, just like Richard Williams did with Serena and Venus.
Tiger, who was three years old, is reported to have shot a 48-over nine holes at the Navy Golf Course, near the Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos.
At eight years old, he broke 80 for the first time. He then won six Junior World Championships.
Earl would later share his methods for training Tiger in two books: Training a Tiger, A Father's Guide To Raising a Winner In Both Golf And Life and Playing Through, Straight Talk about Hard Work, Big Dreams, and Adventures With Tiger.

Tiger's meteoric rise began when he also taught Tiger how to putt.
Cheyenne was eight years old when she shot a 98 in her first tournament.
She was ten years old when she won The US Kids Golf World Champion.
Cheyenne became a professional one year after she won the Atlantic Coast Conference championship in 2011.

He won the nine-hole children's tournament last year by five strokes.
Charlie's stunning three-under 33 tournament round at Hammock Creek Golf Club, Palm City, Florida was viralized. He shot three birdies and none bogeys.
