Charlie recorded a one-under par 71 in the first round before scoring an impressive 66 on his second attempt to seal victory in Florida with many believing his swing is identical to Tiger’s.

The win qualifies the teenager for the National Championships.

Tiger, 47, has not competed since the Genesis Invitational in February this year due to undergoing ankle surgery.

The injury is an impact of the horror car crash he suffered in 2021.

However, in a huge boost for fans, Tiger reportedly walked the 18 holes as he steps up his recovery.

Charlie was interviewed after his win and on having the 15-time major winner on his bag, he said: “It’s great. We just stay in our own little world.

“We take it one shot at a time. He puts me in my place.

“I’ll talk about the next tee shot and he’s like ‘No.’ This is the shot we’re going to focus on.”

And his experience and tips worked as Charlie putted home a fantastic shot from 15 feet on the final hole to secure the win as his proud father watched on.

Fans loved seeing him the wholesome moment as he attempts to follow in his father’s footsteps, one wrote: “This is the best.”

A second added: “Nothing to see here… just the future of golf.”

Another joked: “Imagine how intimidating it must be playing Tiger’s son while he’s on the bag watching you.”
