Tiger Woods' preparations at the 150th Open at St Andrews are revealed after he signed up for the event two weeks prior

TIGERWOODS is getting ready for The Open by participating in a two day event in Ireland.

Reigning golf legend, John McManus has signed up to the Adare Manor JP McManus PRO-AM on July 4-5.

Tiger Woods, on his competitive return from injury, completed 72 holes at the Masters.

This is the next chapter of the remarkable recovery from life-threatening injuries suffered in a February 2021 car accident that left the victim seriously injured.

Woods will have the opportunity to prepare for the eagerly-awaited 150th Open Championship at St Andrews, hosted by JP McManus.

Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm will be part of the charity Pro-Am.

McManus stated that Tiger's presence at Adare Manor would undoubtedly create a lot of excitement for the thousands of spectators.

Woods made an impressive return to action last week at the Masters.

He had a round 71 in his first round to help him get through the cut, and he finished 47th.

Woods then promised British fans that he would be there when The Open returns home to Fifeshire in the summer.

Sky Sports quoted him as saying: "I look forward to St Andrews.

"That's something I hold dearly.

"I have won two Opens there. It's the home course of golf. I love it so much that I will be there for the next one."
