Tiger Woods, Justin Timberlake and their team to open second sports bar in world at iconic Scottish location

TIGER WOODS and Justin Timberlake launched a brand new high-end sports bar in New York City just last month.

Now the superstars are teaming up again with a second site – and it’s in SCOTLAND.

Tiger and Timberlake are launching a new sports bar in Scotland

The superstars’ first venue opened just last month in New York City

There are several bars and lounges inside

Golf legend Tiger and music icon Timberlake teamed up to bring T-Squared Social to life, with the first venue in Manhattan throwing its doors open on 20 September.

Its name pays homage to the T in Woods’ first name and Timberlake’s surname – T-Squared.

Located near the iconic Grand Central Station, it’s an upscale venue and members’ club which promises to ‘transcend the typical sports bar experience.’

The brainchild of 15-time Major champion Woods, Timberlake and shareholders, the venue also boasts golf simulators, allowing patrons to tee-off at iconic courses from across the globe.

There’s also duckpin bowling – essentially tenpin bowling with a smaller ball and smaller pins – and darts to keep punters entertained.

The luxury venue boasts plush bar areas and a seemingly endless supply of TV screens – including New York City’s largest indoor television.

It sounds like quite the place, doesn’t it?

Well, in exciting developments, Woods and Timberlake are opening a second venue and they’re coming to Scotland.

The superstar duo and NEXUS Luxury Collection are teaming up to launch a brand new venue in St Andrews.

They’ve announced plans to open in the town’s iconic New Picture House building.

Fans keen to experience the exciting new venue won’t have long to wait either as it’s slated to open next year.

And it’s just a stone’s throw away from the home of golf, the iconic Old Course.

The plans promise the venue will be every bit as upscale and impressive as the New York venue.

The golf simulators, duckpin bowling and darts will be there, as well as TVs all over to keep up with the sporting action.

The historic 1930s New Picture House venue is still operating as a cinema today and it will undergo an extensive renovation.

One of the movie theatres in the building will be maintaned.

Given Woods’ success at the Old Course, it’s perhaps little surprise St Andrews has been handpicked as the location for the exciting project.

Two of the 47-year old’s three Open Championship victories came at the legendary course in 2000 and 2005.

Speaking on the project, Woods said:  “I have been fortunate enough to enjoy many special moments here at St. Andrews.

“We all wanted to bring our T-Squared Social concept to St. Andrews to add to the local community and be a welcoming place for those living in St. Andrews and for visitors alike.

“The idea for T-Squared Social came to us during a round of golf at Albany, our development in The Bahamas. Justin and I thought it would be cool to create a place that combines our favorite things and brings people together to just have a great time.

“We always knew we wanted to do something together, and NEXUS gave us the platform to bring our idea to life in New York City and now St. Andrews.”

Chart topper Timberlake is no stranger to a round of golf himself.

He’s been a regular at Pro-Am events for a number of years, including the Alfred Dunhill Links event held in Scotland every year.

That’s allowed him to enjoy everything the Old Course has to offer.

Timberlake, who has two UK number one singles to his name, said: “I’ve come to St. Andrews many times to play golf including to compete in The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

“I’m honored to be able to invest in the town and bring our second T-Squared Social here. Our new venue is so much more than a typical sports bar experience – it’s a place you can go to be entertained without sacrificing quality or comfort.”

It sounds like it’s going to be quite the place.

The plans for the project reveal how it will contain a number of upscale lounges, cocktail bars and restaurants, as well as the interactive gaming experiences.

Exactly when it will throw its doors open remains to be seen, but the venue’s brand new social media page simply says: “see you in 2024, St Andrews.”

There will be darts to keep punters entertained, too

Duckpin bowling will be brought to St Andrews as well

Woods has twice lifted the Clarjet Jug at the Old Course

Timerblake is a keen golfer too and has played at St Andrews in ProAm events
