He also admitted that he is grateful to be alive, despite suffering terrible leg injuries from the Los Angeles car crash 14 months ago.

He was however all smiles as he took to his green at the famous course's practice area.

The 46-year old received warm reception in the sun wearing a pink Nike Polo top and black trousers.

Before continuing his practice of swinging and putting, he shared a hug from American star Billy Horschel.

Woods arrived in Augusta today to make a promise about a "game-time" decision on whether or not he will be playing in the Masters.

The golfing world was initially in a frenzy when he showed up to practice at Augusta out of the blue.

He was there with his son Charlie, and the former world No. 1 Justin Thomas.

His 6.6 million Twitter followers have received an update.

Fans are praying that he will return to action after the final round at the 2020 Masters on November 15.

Woods wrote, "I will be heading up Augusta today to continue with my preparations and practice."

"It will be a game time decision whether I participate."

Woods arrived on the course at 3.20 p.m. local time.

After warming up for twenty minutes, he was taken to the first hole in a cart and allowed to play nine holes.

The green jackets reinforced the belief that Woods, a five-time Masters champion, will be able to get to the first tee Thursday by adding his name on the official list of players who are available for interviews. Woods will be at the media center at 11am Tuesday.
