Woods was killed in an 85mph crash a mere ten months ago.

After a frightening 85mph smash in February, the sporting legend was able to cheat death.

Woods was forced to be removed from his car after it flipped multiple times in California.

Multiple injuries were sustained by the 15-time major champion, including one to his right leg.

Woods was lucky to avoid having his leg amputated when police said he was 'lucky enough to be alive'.

Woods claimed he would never play again but he could make an amazing return to the tee in December 18 despite his claims.

The PNC Championship features major champions and their children competing on a 36-hole course over two days.

Woods is believed to be testing his skills at golf this week in order to determine if he's ready to make a quick comeback.

The ace's decision came after declaring that he would like to compete at St Andrew's in the 2022 Open.

Woods stated that he was lucky to still have a limb and be alive. These are two essential things.

"I am very grateful to someone upstairs for taking care of my needs, so that I can not only be here but also walk with no prosthesis.

"I have been through a lot of pain and, even though I was able walk into the room today with crutches, my leg still hurts as I sit here. My back hurts.

"I'd love to play at St. Andrews. There's no question about that. It is my favorite golf course in the entire world. It's a great honor to be a two time Open champion.

"So yes, I would like to be able play in the Open Championship. There's no question about that. Physically, I hope so. It's up to me to make it happen. "The tournament isn't going anywhere, but I have to get there first."
