Daly started his round with three birdies on the first nine holes. He raced to the top 10.

His outrageous outfits were what really stood out, as the chain-smoking Californian was dressed in bizarre floral SKULL pants.

The back-nine was not as successful for the two-time Major winner, who ended up on +2.

He still found time to kick by a trip to Hooters where he ate chicken wings and took photos with the staff.

The sight of the golfing star on the slots machines stunned punters at the local casino.

The photo quickly became viral because Daly's carefree attitude, bizarre on-course rituals and relaxed demeanour made him a popular figure.

One wrote, "This guy is living all of our dreams."

Another added: "This bloke serves as a role model for all."

Daly ate several bags of M&Ms, smoked 21 cigarettes, and finished his round with copious amounts Diet Coke.

He continued his casino diet with a pack of cigarettes and his trusted can of choice.

One person who saw the drink commented that consistency was the key to success in golf.

Another said, "Two packs cigs plus a Diet Coke sitting on top of the machine." This is a true legend.

Daly, who has been battling cancer for many years, revealed that it is now "benign" in March.

His reputation off the course as a hellraiser has been well-earned. A crazy story by Pat Perez backed it up.

The PGA Tour star shared the story of Daly, who left hospital six hours after suffering a stroke. He then returned to his house to continue drinking and host a party.
