SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER is poised to make history at this year’s Masters.
American star, 25 years old, heads into Augusta National with a three shot lead and the famed Green Jacket in his sights.
Scheffler is only one round away
from his first Major title.

After already capturing three PGA Tour victories this season, Victory for World No1 would be his first Major title.
Scheffler, a New Jersey native, has seen a meteoric rise and played a crucial role in Team USA's win last year at the Ryder Cup.
Scheffler was seven years old when his parents, Scott and Diane, moved the family from Wisconsin to Dallas.
It was the perfect opportunity for the budding star to switch, as he learned his trade at Highland Park near Ridgewood.

It is safe to say that the Schefflers are a golfing family with Scottie's three siblings Callie, Sara, and Molly all avid players.
One time, all the kids competed in the same tournament at Mississippi. Sara, then six years old, won the first and only double-eagle for the family.
Scheffler was not only a great golfer in his teens. His 6ft3 200 lb frame was also a valuable asset on the school's basketball court.
Golf Digest spoke with Scottie: "In high school I narrowed it to basketball and golf.
Golf was something I have loved my whole life. It was the only sport I wanted to play, no matter what season.
"HE'S REALLY GIVING PLACES"
Highland Park provided Scottie the foundations for his golf career, and also allowed him to meet his future wife.
Scheffler began dating Meredith Scudder. Their journey culminated in a Winter Wonderland-themed marriage in 2020.
Meredith and Scottie attended college in Texas, but they went to rival campuses: Scheffler at Texas A&M and Scudder at Texas A&M.
She also shared how he proposed to her during a hike at the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve.
Scudder posted on Instagram, "YES!" "YES!" Scudder wrote on her Instagram: "YES! We are overwhelmed by the Lord's goodness and faithfulness to us. Let's do this! !"
Scheffler is still one of the most humble players on Tour. He has no interest or need for superyachts or mansions.
'INCREDIBLE TALENT'
He is a fervent Christian and does not like social media. He prefers to remain out of the spotlight.
Meredith says: "At high school, I thought he had an extremely humble ambiance. He was just a very down-to-earth man that doesn't take his own self too seriously.
"Even though he was a great achiever, that wasn’t what made him special."
Scheffler became a professional in 2018 and gave the world glimpses to his talent before really making waves in the last 12 months.
His three PGA Tour wins have helped his bank balance and status skyrocket.
He has won around $7.3m in prize cash in the 2021-22 campaign, and this could increase if he beats Cameron Smith on the last day of the Masters.
Scheffler's remarkable rise to World No1 is all the more impressive considering that he lost his best friend James Ragan, who died from cancer five years ago.
They were a couple that grew up together, and they would often battle it out on the golf course. James was a scratch player despite being diagnosed with cancer.
Scottie was two years older than Scottie and would play tournaments while wearing his chemo bag around his waist and a needle in his leg.
James, who was only 13 years old, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. He battled for seven years until he died in 2014.
Scheffler organized for the Ragan families to meet with his own family before heading off to Augusta to sort tickets for James' closest and dearest.
Mecklin, James' sister, said that James would be proud of him, but he'd also be saying "Yep, about Time, Scottie. What took you so much?"

They met by playing golf. Scottie was recognized as an outstanding junior, and James got down and dirty despite his illness. They played together in events.
"He was two-years older than Scottie, but they quickly got along and became very close.
James loved Scottie because he saw someone younger than him who had an amazing talent and wasn't wasting his talent.
James would tell me that I only have so many years, months, or days to live. I try to make the best of my time.
"And people around me are wasting the gifts they've received. Scottie is different. He is really moving places."
James was instrumental in the creation of Triumph Over Kid Cancer, which has raised more than $3 million since 2010.
Scheffler will continue his search for the Green Jacket at Augusta, where he will be teeing off with Cameron Smith from Australia at 2.30pm ET.
