SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER will play without his personal caddie in the third round of the PGA Championship.

Scheffler, 27, will take to the green on Saturday, two days after the esteemed tournament kicks off at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.

However, the American will have to take on some of the sport’s best in the world without his right-hand man following an unprecedented decision.

According to Barstool Sports reporter Dan Rapaport, the golf star will be without his caddie Ted Scott.

Scheffler confirmed Scott will leave Louisville on Friday night for family reasons.

His caddie will be absent from the PGA Championship as he will attend his daughter’s high school graduation.

Therefore, Scott is scheduled to miss Saturday’s round when Scheffler is in action.

The New Jersey star, though, will have a fill-in caddie for that day.

Nevertheless, Scott will be back in time for Sunday to reunite with Scheffler.

The double Master’s champion must fully understands Scott’s situation.

Scheffler admitted last month that becoming a dad himself has dropped golf to FOURTH on his priority list.

The devout Christian previously added that wife Meredith and his religion are among the three most important things in his life.
