Scottie Scheffler is hailed as "genius" after he reveals the secret to getting extra chicken in fast food - and it works!

GOLFER Scottie Scheffler has been hailed as a “genius” after sharing his hack to get more fast food at no extra cost.

Scheffler – the world No1 – shared his secret to getting more bang for his buck at the counter of Mexican fast food restaurant Chipotle during a chat with his wife Meredith.

He orders chicken and waits for it to be scooped in the bowl before asking for “double meat” to ensure he gets two full portions and avoid being undercut.

Scheffler said: “Because if you just say double meat, they don’t give you the full scoopage of both.”

Barstool Sports’ Daniel Rapaport tested the patient method and reported back great results.

He posted on X: “Just followed the Scottie Scheffler method at Chipotle of saying chicken, then waiting until they give a serving of chicken before saying “double chicken” and I must say—terrific results.

“He’s not just a ball striking genius.”

Scheffler is riding high having won The Players Championship this month, scooping the £3.5million prize.

It gives him momentum heading into Augusta in April, where Rory McIlroy is hoping to finally win his first Masters.

And McIlroy has been backed by Former English golfer Nick Dougherty to finally end his Masters hoodoo.

He told Sky Sports News: “Expect Rory McIlroy to try and rebound.

“We know the huge narrative at the Masters as there always is, certainly from a British and Irish interest, is can he be the next guy to win the career Grand Slam and win all four majors?

“I always back him, I always end up being disappointed at the end of that endeavour.

“But I’m going again, I’m going again. He has the game, his form isn’t necessarily where he’d want it coming into this year’s Masters.

“But we know what he’s capable of and to be fair, of all the majors, it’s probably the one he should have won first.

“He let it slip by in 2011, maybe this is the year for him.”
