She traveled to the Bahamas for the Derek Jeter Invitational

Spiranac participated in the tournament, and then she stayed behind to practice her swing the next day.

After another bad tee shot, she lost her cool.

She spoke on her Playing a Round podcast and said that the Derek Jeter format is a scramble of sponsors and partners for the first two days, and then a celebrity shootout the third day.

"I was paired up with Derek Jeter, and I was extremely excited about it.

KNUCKLING DOWN

"I was a complete idiot. I was so embarrassed. I didn't get a shot.

"I literally topped off a three-wood on 18 in front Derek Jeter. It was terrible.

"I went out to play the next day because there were events coming up and I needed to improve my game."

"I was really struggling. I was really playing badly. At the time, I was playing really badly.

Paige said, "I got on the 17th Tee and I snapped the s**t from this ball. It went straight left of the tee which is my nemesis shot.

"I gripped the club, did a full round and threw it as hard I could.

"It traveled further than the ball, 40/50 yard, bounced off of the cart path, and into the s**t, and I just stormed away.

"I was so p***ed. "I don't recall the last time that I was this mad.

"I have a history throwing and breaking clubs. It doesn't happen very often, but it does happen.

"It hasn’t happened in quite some time. "I had a complete mental breakdown."

Jeter, a New York Yankees legend, hosted the event in Bahamas to raise funds for his foundation.

Spiranac has more than three million Instagram followers and had nothing but kind words for the Yankees great.

She stated that Derek Jeter was one of the most kind and caring men she has ever met. Like a lot celebrities and athletes, I feel they are very self-sufficient.

"You must have confidence to succeed, and you need to be very narcissistic. He was exactly the opposite.

"I would estimate that he asked about my life and career 90 percent of the time and then asked so many questions, which is not something that happens when you're in close proximity to athletes and celebrities."
