Paige Spiranac reacts to Tiger Woods's gift of a TAMPON to Justin Thomas after he was outdriven at the Genesis Invitational

PAIGE SPIRANAC has reacted after Tiger Woods was seen handing Justin Thomas a tampon.

Closer inspection showed it to be a tampon

After outdriving Thomas, telly cameras caught Woods handing him a tampon.

He then laughed and put his arm around the 29-year-old.

The exchange subsequently went viral on social media, with No1 golf influencer Paige reacting online.

Replying to a Twitter post highlighting the incident, she wrote: “I need a LIV vs PGA tour Ryder cup type event just so Tiger can give Phil a tampon after out driving him.”

Paige, 29, was referencing Phil Mickelson – who signed up for the controversial Saudi LIV tour.

Plenty of other Twitter users responded.

One wrote: “Maybe this is the future of golf.”

A second tweeted: “I can’t wait for someone to ask him about this tomorrow lol.”

Another added: “Please tell me this is real.”

Woods, 47, has still been feeling the effects of his devastating February 2021 car accident – in which he suffered two fractures in his right leg and a shattered ankle.

He subsequently made a miraculous return to action, although he missed the cut at St Andrews’ last year amid walking struggles.

Woods carded 69 during yesterday’s opening round – finishing the day’s action with a trio of birdies.

Content with his performance following his long lay-off, Woods said: “I happened to actually hit some good shots finally and made a couple of putts.

“Even though I had a little mishap at ten, I was able to fight back and get it going. It was a nice finish.”

He then added: “There’s nothing like come game time just the feeling of the butterflies and trying to calm all that stuff down.”
