Rory McIlroy won Canada Open, and then took aim at Greg Norman.

McIlroy was just winning the Canadian Open, and had already won his 21st PGA Tour championship when he decided to take a swing at Norman.

Rory won in Toronto, putting him one ahead Norman, who finished his career with 20 titles.

McIlroy stated on CBS that McIlroy won the twenty-first PGA Tour, one more than anyone else.

"It gave me an extra push today. It was a great feeling to do that.

In his press conference, he added: "Look. I alluded. I was motivated by what's happening across the pond.

"The man who's leading that Tour has 20 wins and I was tied with him, so I wanted to get one more. And I did.

"So that was really cool, just a little bit of pride on that one."

McIlroy was vocal in his support for the PGA Tour this week, while his rivals switched to LIV.

The feud has become a civil war that threatens to destabilize the sport with Patrick Reed and Bryson DeChambeau joining LIV for the second Oregon event later in the month.

Jay Monahan, the commissioner, suspended all PGA Tour members who signed-up for LIV.

Spiranac posted the following tweet after McIlroy's win on Sunday: "Rory being shady toward Greg Norman, saying he has one win more than him.

"LIVING for this drama...I'll stay here all week."

Justin Thomas was third in Toronto behind McIlroy, Tony Finau and Justin Thomas at LIV Golf.

He tweeted, "What a week. That's why you play, and that is why you play on the PGA Tour.

"I fought against the best of today's fighters and won, but not without a fight.

"Congratulations to Rory McIlroy for his 21st win. It was an incredible finish. Can't wait to see the US Open."
