PAIGE SPIRANAC ranked second in 2023’s list of most popular figures in golf.

The former professional turned influencer, 30, has become a hugely well-known figure across social media.

She has accumulated 3.9 million followers on Instagram and nearly one million on Twitter.

But she remains a long way behind Tiger Woods as the most searched for personality in golf.

According to Vegas Insider, 15-time major winner Woods, 47, was the most Googled name in the sport across 42 of the 50 US states in 2023.

That is despite the golf legend not playing a single event between April and November after undergoing ankle surgery.

Spiranac was the only other individual to be the most Googled individual in more than one state.

She topped the charts in four states – and came second in a further 32.

Reacting to the results, she jokingly said: “On the campaign trail in 2024 to lock up more states.”

The other four states were topped by Rickie Fowler, Tony Finau, Keegan Bradley and Tom Hoge.

Meanwhile, Spiranac’s popularity has seen her accumulate a wealth of around £2.9m.

And she earns £9,400 per Instagram post.

Earlier this month, she hit back at trolls claiming her hole in one video had been faked.

Spiranac said: “A bunch of comments calling my hole-in-one fake. It’s real and spectacular.

“But jokes aside anyone in the golf industry knows our careers would be over if we ever faked a hole-in-one video.

“No one would ever be dumb enough to risk that. We take pride in showing genuine reactions. The good and bad.”
