Paige Spiranac acknowledged that seeing Woods perform again would be "really special"

Woods will be playing alongside his son Charlie in the PNC Championship in Florida next week.

The 15-time winner of the major championship had posted to Twitter a video of himself practicing his shots a few months ago. But, no one would have predicted that he would announce his return so quickly.

Spiranac republished the video shortly afterward, with the caption "He's winning another major."

Woods will play in his first tournament since the terrible car accident that he was involved in in February.

After his leg was broken in an 85 mph car accident in California, the 45-year old suffered multiple injuries.

The 36-hole competition is played by former champions who team up with their parents or children.
