BRIAN HARMAN has an unusual method of getting over career disappointments.
The American has been in stellar form at The Open this week, and currently leads proceedings at Royal Liverpool going into Saturday’s action.
Brian Harman is leading The Open at Royal Liverpool
Harman, 37, has never won a major, with the most recent of his two PGA Tour titles having come all the way back in 2017.
The Savannah, Georgia-native gushed “I love it over here” while talking to Sky Sports after his stunning 65 effort today.
His positivity is a far cry from how he felt after missing the cut at The Masters earlier this year.
A keen hunter, Harman chillingly admitted to killing two animals on his Georgia farm such was his rage at missing out at Augusta.
He said: “I went, and I killed a pig Friday night at my farm, and I killed a turkey Saturday morning.
“I didn’t hit any balls until I got here Tuesday.”
Harman has posted a number of images of himself posing alongside dead animals on social media.
The golf pro’s Instagram account is littered with hunting pictures, featuring a smiling Harman alongside dead elk and even a deceased alligator.

On the eve of The Open, Harman was asked why he doesn’t win more on the PGA Tour.
He said: “I think about it a lot, obviously. I’m around the lead a bunch. It’s been hard to stay patient.
“I felt that after I won the tournament and had the really good chance at the U.S. Open in 2017 that I would probably pop a few more off, and it just hasn’t happened.
“I’ve been right there, and it just hasn’t happened.
“I don’t know. I don’t know why it hasn’t happened, but I’m not going to quit.”
