FANS were left baffled after golfer Louis De Jager played topless with his trousers unbuttoned.

The South African ace was playing at the Soudal Open as he landed near a hazard on hole 13 in Belgium.

De Jager, 37, decided to avoid taking a drop and play the shot, however had to get ready.

He bizarrely removed his shirt and unbuttoned his trouers before playing the ball.

One commentator asked: “Is this really necessary?’

While his co-commentator explained: “Well he does not want to get mud on his shirt.”

De Jager took his shot and reaped the rewards for his risk taking as he looked happy himself and got an appluase from the audience.

The world no.306’s actions went viral on social media with many fans left baffled.

One fan questioned: “Not sure what purpose the undone belt buckle is serving here??”

A second posted: “This is what peak performance looks like – deal with it hatooors.”
