‘Normal stuff…’ – Fans spot Justin Rose rubbing hands on grass at Masters on live TV coverage for bizarre reason

GOLF fans were left baffled after Justin Rose was caught in the middle of a strange act on live TV.

Cameras at The Masters caught Rose on his hands and knees on the second hole of his second round.

The 44-year-old held the lead of The Masters at the close of round one, but appeared to start round two on the wrong foot.

He could be seen coating his face, neck, and ears in sunscreen after arriving to the second hole on Friday.

However, he immediately realized that he had too much on his hands though, and dropped to the ground to rub it off his hands.

“I don’t like this move at all, you have to do this in the locker room,” one of the announcers said.

Clearly Rose didn’t do a good enough job of cleaning his hands, as his next shot went firing into a tree and landed in a bunker.

He was able to recover from the poor shot though and closed out the hole with a birdie to move to eight-under.

Rose finished his day two round at the top of the leaderboard, but Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler are on the charge.

Fans got a good laugh out of Rose’s antics, and shared their thoughts on social media.

“Nice yoga pose, Justin,” one fan said.

“Praying to the golf gods,” another fan said.

“It is the only way. A towel?? NEVER,” a third fan said.

“I would LOVE to use Augusta grass to wipe my hands of dirt or sunscreen,” a fourth fan said.

“Does he not carry a towel?” a fifth fan said.

Other accounts on X parodied Rose’s antics by comparing him to pieces of art in the British Museum.

Rose is holding on to the lead at The Masters, and he is hopeful he can stay there.

“I feel like I’ve played well enough to win this tournament,” Rose said.

“I just feel like I don’t have the jacket to prove it.”

McIlroy, Scheffler, and Bryson DeChambeau are doing their best to make sure Rose doesn’t get a green jacket.
