MAKENA WHITE stole the show after boyfriend Jake Knapp claimed his first PGA Tour win at the Mexico Open.

The sales rep flew down from her home in Canada to be with Knapp for his momentous occasion, and the pair shared a kiss on the 18th green.

Makena watched on with intensity as Knapp closed out his win, calling her boyfriend “so dramatic” after his initial putt to win fell agonisingly short of the hole.

But she beamed when he sank the ball to claim the Mexico Open and the pair embraced before sharing a kiss.

It has been a long journey to success for Knapp, who worked as a nightclub bouncer just three years ago after missing out on a Tour card.

Now the Californian can look forward to a spot at the Masters in April after his win at Vidanta.

He said after the win: “Twenty-nine years old and first win, there are a lot of people who helped me along my way.”

Makena is one of his closest supporters with the pair dating for the last six months according to NBC.

Knapp reportedly promised to fly her down for the finale if he held a three-shot lead going into the final day, but Makena surprised him by booking her own flight down to Vidanta.

Makena, 26, is from Canada and is a big sports fan herself, with her social media littered with photos of her playing golf and snowboarding.

The McMaster University graduate left college in 2019 with a degree in Communications & software engineering.

She now works as a vascular surgery sales rep for LeMaitre, a medical device company – a position she has held since October 2022.

Makena often supports Knapp at his events and last month was spotted catching drinks from fans at the 16th green at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Knapp pocketed around £1.2m for his triumph in Mexico after finishing with an even-par 71.
