Grant, 22 years old, held a lead of two shots into the final round. She was the only woman in the top 15. Grant then blew past the pack with birdies at five out of six holes.
She added three birdies to her total of 24 under par on the back nine, securing a memorable win in a tournament with 78 men as well as 78 women.
Grant finished 14 shots ahead of Gabriella Cowley, England's next best woman golfer.
Cowley finished 15th with a three-under par 69.
Henrik Stenson, European Ryder Cup Captain, was tied for second with Mark Warren of Scotland.
However, the 2016 Open champion was completely overshadowed in his battle with fellow Swedes.
Grant was beaming: "It's such an enormous victory, especially when I play in front of my family members and my friends.
"It is crazy to make history in golf and win by so many. It was so great to do it for the ladies!

Although she was an amateur when she reached the top 20, she is now a pro and has won three times in six starts.
