American chicken giant has signed a sponsorship agreement

Daly has always loved Hooters. Their unique mix of chicken wings and beer pitchers, as well as the crop-top-wearing waitresses, have made them a worldwide hit.

John II, the caddy son of John II, was also the 1996 Open champion. They brought their love for good chicken to Scotland on Day One of the 150th Open.

Daly's bag featured the Hooters logo on the side, and was dressed in orange and white.

Hooters signed an April sponsorship deal with Wild Thing, the American star who is well-known for his eccentric personality on and off the golf course.

On Twitter, he wrote: "Can't describe how excited I am that I'm back with my Hooters Family & to have my son beside me in the next generation!"

"Couldn’t ask for a better partnership & proud to represent this brand around the world!"

The 56-year old revealed that he was involved in some way with the brand's development since 2001.

"HE LOVES HOTTER FOOD - So Do I"

It was important to keep it in the family, as John Jr. is a big fan of their grub.

Daly stated: "It's great for me and my boy, because he loves Hooters food. So do I.

"I've been with Hooters kind of since 2001. Some years I was under contract, some years I wasn’t.

"But, [Hooters marketing] said that we wanted to sign you and/or your son. You'd be a part of the Hooters family as you are.

Daly is well-known for his amazing on-course diet which often consists of many cans of diet coke or cigarettes.

He wore a red suit to the Past Champion’s Dinner earlier in the week before heading to the course for a smoke, and some putting practice.

Fans were thrilled to see Daly perform so well at the USPGA this year - with Daly going to the local Hooters following his round.

He was also recently captured driving a golfball OVER an Ohio interstate.

Pat Perez shared the crazy story of Daly leaving hospital six hours after suffering a stroke. He then returned to his house to continue drinking and host a party.

Daly showed great form today, scoring a +1 to give himself a chance at making it to the finals.
