JOHN DALE wore Hooters pants and smoked a cigarette while he continued drawing in the crowds at St Andrews.

After a second-round of 73, the 56-year-old Major winner was three over par.

The cult hero did not let that stop him from enjoying his afternoon stroll along the famous Scottish course, adorned with more memorabilia from his favorite bar chain.

Daly has always loved Hooters. Their unique mix of chicken wings and beer pitchers, as well as the crop-top-wearing waitresses, have made them a worldwide hit.

Daly carried his clubs in a Hooters bag, which was renowned for its orange and white colors.

Son and caddie John II wore a bright orange cap with the Hooters logo,

Golf icon Daly took it one step further, adding some bright orange Hooters pants to the mix on Friday.

After lighting up the links in his fashion, the chain-smoking Californian, who was prohibited from using a buggy for the week, lit up a fag and was cheered onto the 16th fairway.

Daly signed a sponsorship agreement with Hooters in April.

On Twitter, he wrote: "Can't describe how excited I am that I'm back with my Hooters Family & to have my son beside me in the next generation!"

"Couldn’t ask for a better partnership & proud to represent this brand around the world!"

Father-son love food and feel part of the family.

Daly stated: "It's great for me and my boy, because he loves Hooters food. So do I.

"I've been with Hooters kind of since 2001. Some years I was under contract, some years I wasn’t.

"But, [Hooters marketing] said that we wanted to sign you and/or your son. You'd be a part of the Hooters family as you are.
