IAN POULTER has been offered a staggering PS22million for his participation in the Super Golf League. However, he would need to decline the Ryder Cup to participate.
According to reports, Poulter (46) is one of the stars who are wanted to help the Saudi-backed breakaway circuit succeed.

However, the PGA and European Tours made clear that any player who joins this new league will be banned for life.
This would mean that Ryder Cup winner Poults wouldn't be able to play next year for Europe against the USA.
Poulter and other breakaway players could also be expelled from majors - Poulter, the US Golf Association and the R&A could all support the decision of the PGA World Tours and DP World Tours.
Poulter played in seven Ryder Cups, earning him the nickname "The Postman" because he never fails to deliver.
The Hitchin-born ace made clear that he wanted one more chance at the event. Now, he faces a huge dilemma.
The same applies to Henrik Stenson (45), who is also wanted for questioning by the Saudis. The Swede is among four candidates for Europe's skippership in Rome.

According to The Telegraph, both Poulter & Stenson will be at Saudi International in Jeddah, this week. They will each collect PS11million in appearance fee, according to The Telegraph.
Bryson DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson will join them, as well as Phil Mickelson, Tommy Fleetwood and Lee Westwood.
Liv Golf Investments will manage the 10-event International series. This includes an event in London.
