Hideki Matsuyama's delicious Japanese-themed Masters champions dinner menu includes ribeye, sushi and more

HIDEKI MASUYAMA has put Tiger Woods in shame with a four-course feast fit to kings and masters.

Japan's first Augusta winner served up the highest-grade Wagyu Beef Ribeye, and Sushi in the traditional pre-tournament Champions Dinner that was organized by the title holder.

This contrasts with Woods’ famous Slam-junk menu from 1998 that featured cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches and other delicious foods.

There's a thin sand wedge between Matsuyama’s Japanese-themed cultural cuisine, and California's sub-par burger-based bash from 24 years ago.

Woods, a comeback man, is eager to get back to his best 14 months after his horrific leg injury. He won his first Major since winning at Augusta in 2019.

Matsuyama, 30, has to overcome his injuries before he can defend his crown. He starts Thursday.

Due to a back injury, he pulled out of the Players Championship and withdrew in the second round from the Valero Texas Open last week due to a neck issue.

Perhaps his menu-making tricks were a pleasant distraction.

The chomping champions will begin with a mixture of sushi and sashimi.

Next, black cod with miso sauce and bonito fish flake flakes are served.

Main course: wagyu beef tenderloin steak with mushrooms and vegetables.

Matsuyama will also serve strawberry shortcake as a dessert, something he hopes will help him overcome his starch addiction.
