Helen Westwood, Lee Westwood's spouse, delighted her large army of American admirers when she hit the green at Sawgrass' 17th hole. This hole is where many of the best golfers have thrown plenty of balls into the pond.

She shrugged it off and said: "That wasn’t pretty, but I have my first shot on Instagram, so no one can ever take it away from me."
It was a nine-iron from 135 yards and finished at 15 feet from the flag.
"I was proud of it, especially since I don't have any handicap.
"I don't like playing a lot of rounds back home in cold and wet to get cards.
"I'll let Lee play the guitar, with the occasional reminder of the 17th at Sawgrass, part one!"
